Billing notes
- The patient pays nothing: no Part B deductible or coinsurance for flu or COVID-19 vaccines.
- Bill the administration separately: G0008 for a flu shot, 90480 for a COVID-19 shot, on the same claim as the vaccine code.
- Use this season's code for the product you gave. Flu vaccines are trivalent, so the quadrivalent codes (such as 90686) aren't priced. Not sure which code? Enter the NDC from the box in the lookup.
- Prices apply for the whole season unless a code shows a later "added" date. Medicare Advantage and Medicaid plans may pay differently.
